Real Wedding | Nicholas + Hilary 3.15.19
A Friday brunch wedding at a historic farm house in March, sounds pretty dreamy to me! Hilary wanted something small and intimate to celebrate her marriage to Nicholas. The two chose to get married on their 10 year anniversary, Friday, March 15th 2019,
Hilary stumbled across the the Historic Erickson Farmstead and immediately fell in love with their beautiful farmhouse and all of its charm. She knew it would be the perfect place to hold a small ceremony and reception of 35 close family & friends.
Veronica Barnes Photography was a blast to work with and captured the beauty and emotions of the day perfectly! Her style was a perfect fit for this chilly spring day, and we love reliving the day with her photos!
One of the most beautiful parts of this historic farm is their bridal suite, located on the 3rd floor of the farmhouse. While this is typically the setting of a bride and her girls getting ready for the big day, Hilary had visions of moving all the furniture out and creating a ceremony space.
The morning started off with laughs and some strategic false wall placements. Hiding the couple from each other so that all could be reviled at the ceremony! The girls got their hair done up by the fabulous Beauty Bar by B and makeup by one of the best, Makeup by Mindie in the beautiful space provided by them while the guys hung out and chatted.
Terri from Uy-Lennon Floral, did her greenery magic and created a custom free hanging greenery arch, With some beautiful bouquets for the bride and her girls.
We provided the centerpieces which were made up of antique tea cups with succulents in them on top of some antique books we found for Hilary at a local antique shop! With Hilary being a teacher, these were a great addition to her vision.
After the ceremony, guests moved down to the main level of the space where they are offered sugar donuts by Heights Bakery and an amazing coffee punch from LeFebvre’s Catering While guests mingled, and took their seats, they were treated to a brunch feast! Seriously, brunch weddings are the best kind of weddings!
As people were finishing up, we moved back up to the third floor where we held the first dance, mother / son & father / daughter dance. The day ended with guests mingling while Hilary & Nicholas took photos in the gorgeous farmhouse.
We could not be happier to have been apart of this wonderfully intimate wedding! Congrats to the wonderful Hilary & Nicholas!!!
